The Government have announced a new National Lock-down which will become law with effect from 0001 hours on Wednesday 6th January 2021.
People will have to stay at home and only go out for essential reasons.
Essential reasons to leave home include – Work or volunteering (where it is unreasonable to work from home), education, training, childcare, medical appointments and emergencies, exercise outdoors (once a day) and shopping for essentials, such as food and medicine.
How will this affect our services?
Vehicle Hire Businesses such as ourselves are permitted to remain open.
BUS SERVICES – Our bus services will continue to operate as per the published time-tables. Social distancing and the wearing of face-coverings will continue to apply. We will continue to operate rail replacement services.
SCHOOL TRANSPORT – Our school transport will continue to operate normally, but only vulnerable children and the children of critical workers are allowed to attend school.
COACH HIRE – We are still able to hire coaches at short notice to convey essential workers to their workplace. Our offices also remain open for general coach hire quotations and we are taking bookings for later in the year, with no deposit and nothing to pay until 10 days before your trip. In order to give you certainty at this time, provided you give us 10 days or more notice, you will not be charged anything if you have to cancel.
DAY TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS – We do not have any day trips or excursions taking place until after the 23rd of March 2021 and we will keep these under review during the lock-down period.. We are hoping to restart day trips from April 2021. We are currently taking bookings with no deposit and nothing to pay until we are certain the trip can go ahead.
