Back to School
Published on 9th March 2021

Classrooms are opening up fully from the 8th of March for the first time since 5 January and some schools will be inviting pupils back in a phased approach across the week.
Secondary school students will have six lateral flow tests in the first two weeks of school, before being provided with two tests per week to use at home.
School staff and Bus Drivers are being offered twice-weekly tests, and parents and carers can get two tests a week using https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/?mc_cid=d8c3b08b86&mc_eid=941d6961f8&mc_cid=d8c3b08b86&mc_eid=941d6961f8
Face coverings must be worn indoors in secondary schools, including classrooms when two metre social distancing isn’t possible.
Face-coverings must also be worn on School Buses.
Students should not attend school if they:
have symptoms of COVID-19, or live with someone who does,
have tested positive, or live with someone who has,
are a close contact of someone who has COVID-19,
or are required to self-isolate for travel related reasons.
